ID Requirements & Minor Piercing Policy
In accordance with Minnesota Statute 146B.07
To ensure the safety of our clients and compliance with Minnesota law, all minors receiving piercings must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide the required documentation listed below.
Needle Piercings
Step 1: Valid Identification for Both Parent/Guardian & Minor
Parent or Legal Guardian
Please provide one of the following valid, non-expired photo IDs:
Driver’s License or Government-Issued Photo ID
Military ID
Passport
Resident Alien Card
Tribal ID Card
Minor
Minors may present any of the IDs listed above or:
Student ID Card (minors only)
If using a school portal ID, please print the pages showing the child’s:
Photo
Name
Grade and/or Date of Birth
Important ID Notes
All identification must be current and unexpired.
If you recently renewed your Minnesota ID, please bring:
The punched ID card
The temporary paper renewal
Step 2: Proof of Parentage or Legal Guardianship
To verify the relationship between the adult and minor, we may require one or more of the following:
Government-Issued Birth Certificate
Court-Appointed Guardianship Papers
If Last Names Differ
Additional documentation showing the name change is required, such as:
Marriage Certificate
Divorce Decree
Other legal documentation confirming parent or legal guardian status
Gun Ear Lobe Piercings
(1st and 2nd Lobe Piercings Only)
Parent or Legal Guardian
Please provide a valid photo ID from the list above.
Minor
Minors must provide one of the following:
Government-Issued Birth Certificate
Court-Appointed Guardianship Papers
A valid photo ID with a matching last name or address
